Mediocre Court Opinion

When I was a kid, it was fairly reasonable to expect that decisions announced by the highest court in the land represented careful review and thought by nine ... well, men, who seriously considered all sides of the issue.

Today, I see that former spot now occupied by rote philosophical vermin, and a few judges.  No, I do not feel that court is supreme, in any way other than they have a fancy building with a lot of history.  Unfortunately, today they showed just exactly what they stand for.  Nothing.  That is, they did not review the law based on the precedents set in the prior court rulings.  They rather chose to change the law of the land after it had been confirmed by most every one of the vermin during their testimony before Congress that it was settled law.

Look, I'm no lawyer.  I married a lady who is far far more interested and captivated by the law than I am, but even I know what stare decisis means.  Nope, it's not "Stare at a ten-sided Isis" or anything else pithy.  It is, when you come to most countries, most of the world, something that says, fundamentally, "Look, we've already decided this.  So unless the law has changed, see the previous sentence."  Yeah, it's designed to be a tail-chasing process, because, well, the law is built, literally, upon the law.  That is, when a bill goes through the government and is approved, if someone objects to it, they can take their opinion to court.  They can probably find an attorney to say "well, let's get this sorted out" - and if they have pretty deep pockets, they can keep going.

That is, when the decision at the first level they take it to is announced, typically, no matter what that decision is, it's appealed.  Someone might not like the decision, others might think it's fantastic, whatever.  The bottom line is that it's sent on to the next batch of people who studied the law and are going to review.  There, you get one of three outcomes - they won't review it, the original decision stands, you like what they decide, or you don't like what they decide.

And the merry go round goes around again.  Eventually, however, in most of the world, you eventually reach the highest court in the land.  Here in the United States, that used to be the Supreme Court.  However, when decisions are based on the various people's base philosophy, and not at all on the merits or specifics of the case, there, the bottom line is that the decision is worse than useless.  It's criminally incompetent.

So please, spare me.  When we get a real supreme court in this country, maybe we'll get something done.  But the bottom line is that we first need to get rid of the criminals who approve the judges, because there's a fox in the hen house.

Now, of course, we get to see what I expected to occur if this ever happened.  God help any woman in one of these barbaric states if she has a miscarriage.  After suffering THAT devastating, emotionally draining event, she'll be hauled into court by her wretched, nosy neighbors, who noticed she may have been pregnant, but no baby, so hey, where's the money?  We'll have Uterus Police, you know, the police who get to poke into any of your female relatives' vaginas, for ... well, I'm sure we'll end up with a warrant for the arrest of the wayward vagina, because, you know, those things sometimes cannot be trusted, because after all, they're attached to women*.  I mean, these law enforcement officials will be empowered to pull down a woman's pants or look up her skirt and confirm anything they feel is necessary.

(*Please note that's sarcasm, the font simply did not display properly in your browser.  Because after I typed it, I was certain to select the Sarcasm font in order to show just how infantile and daft a decision this, because a group of assholes just said "no, women no longer have the right to decide what happens with their bodies."  Those bastards who have been pushing for this for 50 years just told everyone's mother, wife, sister, daughter, grand daughter, or any female relative, that they're a simple piece of meat.  Any rapist can now impregnate a woman and expect her to carry his bastard offspring to term, and then raise the little brat.  No, it's not the child's fault they exist from a rape, but the victim is now going to be required to raise a child they never wanted because someone committed violence upon them.  You want to bitch about the destruction of the family, right there it is.  In bold letters.  It's no longer a partnership.  That court ruling today is nothing about women.  It is 100% about the power of the penis.  A group of pathetic, ineffectual, and flaccid men have chosen to push their agenda all over the rest of us.  I include myself in that group because I do not feel I have the right to tell any woman what she does with her body.  I might have the right to express my opinion regarding one particular uterus, but that's as far as it goes.  But today, flabby flaccid bastards from all over this country now get to poke their noses, fingers, and business into every vagina.  Today, I became less of a law-abiding citizen, because I do not agree with this decision.  Don't expect me to follow it.)

So with that said, ladies and gentlemen, here we go.  The UP (that's Uterus Police) now have the right to investigate any vagina in the United States.  If you misuse that vagina, well, get ready for the legal challenges.  I'm sickened.  I'm disgusted.  And I'm thinking that all of the people who are rejoicing over this ... mistake are gonna be pretty sad when all of the pieces of this are worked out.  No, I do not expect the United States as it existed yesterday to return.  I do expect another Civil War, this one ideological.  And I don't know who's going to ... well, no one wins.  I expect a lot of death and destruction.  And if the survivors wish to begin cleanly, I do hope they establish a system that does not permit one ideology to dominate another.  It should be that decisions are reached after compromise and due consideration, rather than incompetent and infantile regurgitation of pure crap.

Wish we'd done better with this country.  It did have some shining moments.  This fourth of July, I will be in mourning.  And yes, I shall wear black.
