That's Not Right...

I got up this morning and got to work on a major construction project I've been fighting with for a month now, fired up to get going.  Resolved a few problems, then the day turned.

I remember in the late 1980s the biggest perceived threat to our way of life was the various little militias grumphing around, trying to change this country to their needs.  Whack jobs and more who wanted to change this country.

Then we did.  Whether or not it was done legally and under all proper rules, we'll never know, but it sure does look, these days, like the orange baboon has replaced all those small potato idiots with his small hands, smaller intellect, and greater failures.  And there are those who lack absolutely anything in the brain department follow him straight to hell.  Which is what came to Minnesota today.

I've lived here my entire life, and I have known people who take utter leave of their senses and intelligence (that is, assuming they had any to begin with), and put religion and their twisted beliefs above the way this country was designed to work.  There are many fools who insist that this country was founded as a Christian utopia, when in fact it was founded to DISASSOCIATE Religion and Government.  To insist that Christianity is the sole, only permitted religion, well, then you're just not an American.  You're some twisted version of a religious fundamentalist.  And while that's permitted in this country, you take care of you, and keep your wingnut crap out of the government.  We long ago agreed that while religion is something that many people believe in, it's not something that belongs in government.

Which is why the killings of state lawmakers here was just so stupid.  The man who allegedly did it, Vance Boelter, is said to have been a security expert and Christian Nationalist pastor.  He obviously had some planning skills, but it takes a special kind of idiot to use his own vehicle, leave a list behind, and think he's going to get enough people to make a change.

Violence isn't the answer.  Violence almost always fails in the long run.  It shows a certain level of desperation and exposes the weaknesses of the opposition, because being willing to die for a fundamental change that most people don't want shows a real disconnect between reality and the individuals who are committing the violence.

I expect when this Vance Boelter is found dead in a ditch somewhere, the reward he expects to receive is going to come in awful hot.  Takes a real fool to forget the Ten Commandments.
